The Consorzio Zona Industriale e Porto Fluviale di Padova (The Padua Industrial Area and River Port Consortium) is a public economic body which has planned and established the largest industrial area in the North–East of Italy, covering a whole territory without interruption and managed by a single body (10,5 million sq. m.).
Its development envisages:
- in the town territory of Padua the availability of a new 550,000 sq. m. area as well as the renewal of North Area (1,7 million sq. m.) Development Plan [.pdf 555 kb]; the realization of an important Research Centre is started too
- in the province of Padua the availability of almost 700,000 sq. m. at Cittadella (through Zitac spa), of 175,000 sq. m. at Piazzola sul Brenta (through Obiettivo Sviluppo spa) and of 2.5 million sq. m. near Montagnana (through Parco Produttivo del Fiumicello spa)
- within the region framework the availibility of 2 million sq. m. in the town territories of Arquà Polesine and Villamarzana (Rovigo), through I3 spa, and of Adria (Rovigo), through Ca' Bianca srl
